Not to be outdone by its neighbors, South Korea is also giving Filipinos the chance to tour the country for free. The Korea Tourism Organization recently launched Korea Invites U—their tourism campaign for Visit Korea Year 2023-2024. This new campaign can get you an all-inclusive, all-expense paid five-day trip to South Korea.

South Korea's Travel Contest for a Free Five-Day Tour
In a post to their social media pages, the Korea Tourism Organization enticed its audiences with "a special memory of Korea" to join them on tour this May. The campaign is aptly titled "Korea Invites U."
The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are inviting individuals with the best stories about a special connection, a memorable travel companion, or a tear-jerking moment in Korea to share their stories online for a chance to win a special tour sponsored by the organizations.
Winners won't just be getting a generic tour. According to the website, "The most compelling stories will win a trip to Korea specially personalized based on their stories." This means you can get a chance to relive your fondest memories and gain more in the Land of Hallyu sans any cost. KTO and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will be awarding an undisclosed number of winners round-trip tickets to Korea, five days, four nights accommodation, customized three-day tour, one joint day tour, travel insurance, and any other travel-related cost.
Who Can Join KTO's "Korea Invites U" Contest:
Before you jump the gun and enter this contest, you should know that the trip is tentatively scheduled for May 20 to 24, 2024, which means all your travel documents must be valid during this period. Aside from having all your papers in check, all aspiring travelers must meet the following criteria to be eligible to win the prizes mentioned above:
- Contestants must be non-Korean nationals residing outside of Korea
(Korean citizens or residents are ineligible) - You must have a unique travel story about South Korea
How to Join KTO's "Korea Invites U" Contest:
All you have to do is share your special story of Korea in detail in a maximum of 3,000 words. Applications are open from now until April 19.
Feel free to include photos, videos, and other media related to your story to increase your chances of winning. Your story should include the following information:
- Why you should be selected as the winner.
- Please provide details about your experience in Korea, including the time, locations, and individuals you were with.
- Share the places you wish to visit and activities you would like to experience if you are chosen for this trip.
- Describe how you would share your experiences in Korea with others if you were chosen for this trip.
Submit your entries by heading to the Korea Invites U website, clicking the Apply button at the bottom of the page, fill out the application form's required fields and consent forms, and you're set!
You may submit stories on behalf of your friends or loved ones. Just indicate that on your application. Story submissions and other additional materials will be evaluated to determine the winners. Selected candidates may request an online interview, and they will be contacted via email. Winners will be announced on April 30, 2024, via individual e-mails.
