It's Legit: Thousands of Lucky Filipinos Just Won Free Roundtrip Tickets to Hong Kong

(SPOT.ph) Back in February, word came out that Hong Kong is giving away up to 500,000 airline tickets to encourage international travelers to visit their country. Aptly called World of Winners, this campaign by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong might sound too good to be true, but it is actually, legitimately real. In the past couple of days, 20,400 lucky Filipino travelers have received e-mail notifications that they won Cathay Pacific roundtrip tickets to Hong Kong.
Content creator The Poor Traveler, for example, posted the good news online: "Yay! Tagumpay! If you joined the Hong Kong Airport WoW campaign, check your e-mail now! They've just announced the results. Sino dito 'yung mga pinalad?"
The e-mail from Cathay Pacific indicated that they had won one economy class roundtrip ticket from the Philippines to Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific Gives Away Free Hong Kong Tickets
Cathay Pacific gave away 20,400 tickets specifically to Filipinos. Mechanics were pretty simple: become a Cathay member by signing up through their website, then answer three questions correctly online from March 3 to 9. Only the first 20,400 registrants with the correct answers had the chance to win. As promised, winners were notified on March 21.
According to the Hong Kong government, a total of 30,000 tickets are to be given away in the Philippines. Information about the remaining 9,600, which will be sponsored by Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express, is yet to be disclosed.
The lucky winners will also receive special deals for hotel accommodation, shopping, and entertainment during their Hong Kong trip.
