11 PH Hotels Make It to the Michelin Guide Hotel for 2025

(SPOT.ph) It's no secret the Michelin Guide is one of the foremost authorities on where to eat—but did you know they also have a guide for hotels? Dubbed the Michelin Guide Hotel, this curated list recognizes the best of the best in hospitality, and wouldn't you know it, this year, 11 local stays made the cut. Uy, Pilipins.

But what does this actually mean for these hotels, and more importantly, which ones should you add to your travel bucket list? Check them out below. 

What is the Michelin Guide Hotel?

The Michelin Guide regularly releases a curated list of over 6,000 accommodations in more than 130 countries. These hotels offer a wide range of amenities at a fair price, highlighting the sweet spot between value for money, style, and service. As Michelin puts it, each of these hotels is more than just a place to sleep; they're "a destination unto itself" and "a chance to try on a new life, if only for a night."

Selections are made by a panel of hotel experts. These include experienced travelers, specialists in interior design and architecture, and the very knowledgeable in hospitality trends. They are the equivalent of Michelin Guide restaurant inspectors, closely monitoring the industry, publications, and guest feedback.

In a nutshell, hotels must consistently deliver on design, authenticity, service, value, and accessibility. And just like the restaurants, they can also be dropped from the list if they fail to meet the inspectors' exacting standards. 

Apart from being essentially Michelin-approved stays, hotels included in the guide can be booked directly through the Michelin website or app. For you and me, booking through these channels means getting the lowest prices, VIP upgrades for Plus members, and concierge-level assistance during your stay. For the hotels, this puts them in the running for a Michelin Key, the hotel equivalent of the Michelin Star.

Check out the Philippine hotels that made it to the Michelin Guide in 2025:

Long story short, these accommodations are among the best in the world. In 2024, six Philippine hotels were included in the guide, among them are Amanpulo, whose name has become synonymous with utmost luxury, the preferred hideaway for VIPs looking to escape the world; Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan in Cebu, a lavish hotel getaway boasting a three-tiered infinity pool and a private beach; Nay Palad Hideaway in Siargao, a break from the usual budget-friendly backpacker stays on the island; The Peninsula Manila, the iconic Makati hotel known for its opulent and old-world charm; boutique hotel Admiral Hotel Manila- MGallery; and Japanese luxury hotel Hotel Okura.

Thankfully, all these hotels are still in the guide. However, five new properties have joined the roster—all in Metro Manila. This brings our country's total to 11 hotels in the 2025 Michelin Guide.

Here are the five new Philippine hotels that got added to the Michelin Guide 2025:

Solaire Resort Entertainment City

If you're looking to splurge and play with lady luck, Solaire is the place to be. Located in Parañaque's Entertainment City, it embodies the definition of luxe living, thanks to its spacious rooms, over 15 dining outlets, numerous shopping stores, and a variety of entertainment options, including a massive casino floor, pools, and a spa.

Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts

Located a stone's throw away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, the Manila Marriott Hotel is a favorite among travelers seeking a final farewell before departure or a first taste of Filipino hospitality upon arrival. With its over 560 rooms and suites, many dining outlets, a grand ballroom, and accessibility to the nearby Newport Mall, it's no wonder the Manila Marriott Hotel is on the Michelin Guide's radar.

Fairmont Makati

Fairmont Makati strikes a balance between modern luxury and the warmth of home. Located in the middle of the Ayala CBD, it's within walking distance of many malls, museums, and Makati City's famous haunts. Another hotel chain that's practically synonymous with the luxe lifestyle is Shangri-La, and their BGC hotel is no exception.
