Eastwood City's Christmas Display Has a Giant Penguin and It's Adorable

It'll take you back to your childhood.

(SPOT.ph) Christmas displays are opening left and right all over Metro Manila, from a much-awaited lights and sounds show in Makati City to upcycled holiday decorations in Muntinlupa. On the north side of the Metro, there's Eastwood City's Christmas Toy Town, which was revealed to the public on November 13.

"Through our Christmas attractions this year, we want everyone to remember Eastwood City not only as a place where they create meaningful memories with their loved ones, but also as an inspiration to share and spread happiness this joyous season," Kevin Tan, chief strategy officer of Megaworld Corporation, said in a statement about the celebration at the mixed-use development in Quezon City.

Aside from the 40-foot Christmas tree which was all lit up as early as September, life-sized toy decorations now adorn the open space right in front of Eastwood Mall. There's a couple of larger-than-life teddy bears, a toy train, and a massive penguin toy that's too cute to handle.

The toy-themed Christmas doesn't end with the displays, however, as Eastwood City also launched a toy donation drive. Proceeds go to Kythe Foundation, which gives psycho-social support to kids living with cancer and other chronic illness.

Eastwood Mall is in Libis, Quezon City. For more information, follow Eastwood City on Facebook.
