(SPOT.ph) Only three hours—by plane—away from Manila, Thailand is a popular destination among Filipino travelers who love a good mix of cultural landmarks, foodie destinations, and shopping hotspots. The country reopened to Philippine passport-holders back in November 2021, but they're now making traveling easier by dropping the RT-PCR requirement upon arrival. This new travel policy is approved by Thailand's Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration on April 22, and is effective for international arrival starting May 1.
Fully vaccinated travelers don't need to go through quarantine, but partially vaccinated or unvaccinated tourists must stay in quarantine for five days and undergo an RT-PCR test on Day 5. The test is waived, however, if the unvaccinated tourist is able to upload proof of negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel via Thailand Pass.

- Thailand Pass registration
- Proof of vaccination (VaxCertPH issued by the Department of Health)
- Insurance policy with coverage no less than U.S.$ 10,000
