(SPOT.ph) As an island surrounded by waters teeming with biodiversity, Bohol in the Visayas is well known for its dive sites that are ideal for snorkeling, freediving, and snorkeling. The newest dive spot to visit in Panglao is Project Sirena, which is part of South Palms Resort Panglao's efforts to provide a unique diving experience to its guests as well as a new home to marine species in the area. How unique? Well, it involved the sinking and installation of an old plane underwater. Nearby, you can find colorful corals, playful schools of fish, and sea turtles—a view that's simply breathtaking.

Those who are not into scuba diving can try snorkeling or freediving around Balicasag Island. It is most known for its sardines run, an experience so rare that it calls divers from all across the globe to this tiny part of the Philippines.
