Good News, Cebuanos: Philippine Airlines Soon to Fly Direct to Baguio City
The flag carrier flies four times a week from the Queen City of the South.
(SPOT.ph) Baguio City in Benguet is often top of mind for its chilly weather, ukay-ukay craze, and rows of food spots and aesthetic coffee shops. Plus, it's just a four-hour drive from Metro Manila, making it a good choice even for impromptu travels. But if you're coming from Visayas or Mindanao, you now have another option to get to the City of Pines. Philippine Airlines on October 26 announced that the flag carrier is officially flying from Cebu to Baguio City (and vice versa) starting on December 16.

New Philippine Airlines Flight from Cebu to Baguio
Philippine Airlines' Cebu-Baguio-Cebu flights will operate four times a week: every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. PR2230 is scheduled to depart Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 8:50 a.m. and arrive at Loakan Airport at 10:50 a.m. PR 2231 is scheduled to depart Loakan Airport at 11:10 a.m. and arrive at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 1 p.m.
This new route is nostalgic for Philippine Airlines, which had its very first flight from Manila to Baguio on March 15, 1941.
