(SPOT.ph) South Korean Pop, or K-Pop, has always been known for a combination of singing and dancing. Being born in the Philippines, it can be said that the singing part comes easier to us—it's the dancing and making it all look easy the way idols do that may come as a challenge.
For whatever reason you want to learn K-pop dance routines, there are a number of studios in Metro Manila that can make learning fun and less stressful. By the time you’ve taken a few classes, you wouldn’t feel too intimated dancing to "OMG" by NewJeans or "DNA" by BTS—or whichever group you’re following—that, maybe, you wouldn’t mind posting your dance cover on social media. Hey, when you finally take your dancing out of the confines of your own room, you ought to celebrate it.

Groove Central Dance Studio is a dance studio in Quezon City. They have resident instructors, including Donna Shi and Alee Young, to take you through the complicated choreographies of songs like "Money" by LISA, the main dancer of BLACKPINK, and "Rock With You" by SEVENTEEN who are considered kings of synchronization.
Aside from K-Pop covers, the studio also has open choreography, beginner-friendly classes, and sometimes even classes that teach krumping techniques.
808 Studios

Aside from offering dance classes on trending K-Pop songs, like "Fancy" by TWICE or "Monster" by EXO, 808 Studios has a K-POP DANCE CAMP (P7,200/slot) as of writing. This is a five-week dancing lesson that includes a professionally-shot performance.
For their run this April to May 2023, the studio separates the lessons for those who'd want to learn girl group songs from boy groups. Those who choose the GG participants will learn dances from XG, NewJeans, and BLACKPINK, while the BG participants will learn BTS and J-Hope.

The Addlib Dance Studio's K-Pop covers are done by queen powerhouses Jaja Sagmayao and Rose Esala. The studio is holding what they call The Lab Summer 2023: Supernova wherein participants take a total of eight sessions to learn K-Pop choreography and will end it with a grand concert recital.
The studio also has K-POP FEMME classes by JP Ponla that happens on Tuesdays, on a weekly basis. This talented choreographer has done classes tackling the electric dance of LE SSERAFIM's "ANTIFRAGILE".

Want to learn how to dance like Red Velvet's main dancer Kang Seul-gi? ACTS Dance and Arts Academy previously taught the choreography to her solo "28 Reasons" by Seulgi, plus other K-pop hits "Nxde" by G-IDLE, "Cupid" by FIFTY FIFTY, and "Set Me Free" by TWICE. They've taught the hot choreography of "Rover" by KAI of EXO, the high-energy steps to "Not Shy" of ITZY, and the cutesy bubblegum-pop steps of "POP!" by Nayeon of TWICE.

For those in Quezon City, ZERØ Studio is a popular dance studio in this neighborhood. They are well-known for their lessons on Femme, Open Style, House dance, and, of course, K-pop. The studio's resident instructors will use and teach the original music video choreography of different K-Pop songs at a time so be sure to keep watch in case your fave banger ends up on the slate.
As of publishing this article, the studio has scheduled classes that cover the following songs: "Genie" by SNSD, a right of passage IMHO, and songs from the fourth generation like "Left Right" by XG, "I Am" by IVE, and "OMG" by NewJeans.
