10 K-Drama Titles of 2022 You Should Have Watched By Now

(SPOT.ph) Raise a hand if you love K-Dramas. You can bet we're raising ours, too; both of them, actually. As an avid fan, you've probably been keeping watch throughout the year as fresh titles drop and 2022 proved to be an especially fruitful one. No lie: so many titles kept us up nights. From slice-of-life, romantic comedies to legal and supernatural dramas—there was something for everyone this year. Now if you haven't been able to keep up, we round up 10 K-Drama series that landed on our radar this year. Best part? They're all available to watch on Netflix. We all know it's Christmas, but there's nothing wrong with sneaking away from your holiday gatherings, a.k.a. the countless social interactions, to do a little bit of watching (or re-watching, rather) on your down time.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Fan or not, Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo will ring a bell. We know so because it's impossible to have missed as it was at the top of Netflix's most popular shows in the country after airing its finale. The legal series follow Woo Young Woo, played by Park Eun-bin, a rookie lawyer at Hanbada Law Firm with Asperger's Syndrome. Woo to the young to the woo. Dong to the geu to the rami. You totally did the arm thing, didn't you? There's a second season (and a musical) coming soon.

Juvenile Justice

Kim Hye Soo stars as an elite judge who is assigned to a local juvenile court. As the one with the gavel, he makes sure that the young offenders—who usually get away with it due to being underage—get the punishment they deserve in this realistic legal drama. Yeah, this one is sure to have your moral compass swinging round and round. What is fair? What is just? Find out in this series, that is, if you haven't watched it yet.

A Business Proposal

A lot of hearts fluttered—okay, admittedly ours were more of a wildly-beating-out-of-our-chest type—at the blossoming romance between handsome CEO Kang Tae Moo, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, and his genius employee Shin Ha Ri (or is it Samantha? Rachel?) played by Kim Se Jeong after their paths unexpectedly cross at hilarious blind date. You can't even begin to count the times you've asked the Lord "When will it be me?", "When's my turn?" throughout this beloved romantic comedy series. 

All of Us Are Dead

Based on a webtoon entitled Now At Our School by author Joo Dong Geun from 2009 to 2011, this epic and bloody (and we mean this literally) series revolves around a group of students at Hyosan High School trapped in the campus during a zombie outbreak. It made number five in top trends in general (Yup, that big) on Google for 2022. A second season is in the works, too.

Twenty Five Twenty One

Twenty Five Twenty One hits its viewers with a sense of nostalgia. This slice-of-life series follows the lives and friendship of five people—played by Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Tae Ri, Bona, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Joo Myung—from 1998 to 2021.

Alchemy of Souls

Hold up. A period and fantasy drama? Soul switching? Sign us—and a most of you who searched it up that it became one of the most Googled Korean series of this year—up. The Alchemy of Souls follow young mages in the fictional country of Daeho dealing with "heaven and earth." Boy, that sure is something. The second season is ongoing on Netflix. 

My Liberation Notes

Chang Hee (Lee Min Ki), Mi Jeong (Kim Ji Won), and Gi Jeong (Lee El)—the three Yeom siblings—and Mr. Gu (Son Seok Goo), the mysterious stranger, are at the center of this calm slice-of-life series. You'll somehow see yourself in their struggle to find fulfillment and freedom in their lives. And if you've watched this, then we know you still aren't over Ji Won's "Worship me," line. Hard same. 

Tomorrow

Trigger warning: Death and suicide.

This team of grim reapers—consists of SF9's Rowoon, Kim Hee Sun, and Yoon Ji On—have one mission, and it's not to escort souls from the Good or Bad place. Rather, they save people from becoming one.

Forecasting Love and Weather

Love (and life) is as unpredictable as the weather. Agree? We sure do. There days where it rains; where the sun shines brighter than ever; most of the time there are just clouds. Other times, it can be a whole storm—especially if you're in a complex situation like an office romance, like the type Jin Ha Kyung and Lee Si Woo (played by Park Min Young and Song Kang, respectively) have in romantic series Forecasting Love and Weather. 

Little Women

Kim Go Eun, Nam Ji Hyun, and Park Ji Hoo play three financially struggling sisters who become involved with the rich and powerful—and not in a good way. This suspense series will have you hooked and guessing throughout watching. 

Bonus: Our Blues

We know we said 10, but we just couldn't leave this poignant series out. In this one, you'll follow the interesting lives of a group of people with the picturesque Jeju Island in the background in slice-of-life series Our Blues. It tells of real problems and relationship everyday people encounter in the rollercoaster ride that is life. You will totally pick up a thing or two (tissues, included) while watching this series.
