These Metro Manila Hotels Are Ready for the "New Normal"

For when you're ready to take a staycation.

(SPOT.ph) Traveling can be tricky until we’ve completely eradicated COVID-19. Most transactions—from checking in to payment—will probably be done online, flights will be limited, and face masks will be part of your travel essentials. On the bright side, domestic travel will finally get the attention it deserves, and maybe staycations will be the closest thing you can get to being away from home for now. The pandemic has had a significant effect on the tourism industry and to address this, Metro Manila hotels are already practicing extra measures to prepare for the day when they can welcome guests back.

Hilton Manila identified 10 high-touch areas in every guest room that would need a lot of cleaning between stays. These are the switches and electronic controls, handles and knobs, bathroom surfaces, climate-control panels, telephones and remote controls, bed and bedding, bath amenities, tables and desks, closet goods like iron and safe handle, and in-room food and beverage. The Hilton Digital Key, which has been in use by the hotel for a while now, comes in pretty handy. You don’t need a key card, minimizing a lot of touch points from check-in to check-out.
