There are lots of spooky activities lined up to celebrate, especially now that Halloween actually falls on a long weekend. To help you plan out your schedule and make the most out of this spooktacular season, we've rounded up some activities you could take part in to maximize the Halloween vibe.

Celebrate Halloween with these fun and ghoulish-themed activities this long weekend:

Survive your worst fears and escape with Nightmares Manila 

Hit up Nightmares Manila, a five-floor horror attraction in Parañaque with your friends or S.O. this weekend for some thrill. It consists of two haunted houses, four escape rooms, and a zombie shooting arena. Talk about scary! But hey, when you're done with all the screaming and running around, there's a place to eat, shop, and take pictures right within the compound.

Scream your heart out at Ayala Malls Cinema and Robinsons Horror Movie Fest

Let's face it. Halloween is really the best time to watch horror movies. There's a certain je ne sais quoi about the season that makes it extra hair-raising and satisfying to have a scream fest. Well, if you've already watched all the spooky flicks in your arsenal, you might want to check out these horror movie fests from selected Robinsons Malls and Ayala Malls Cinemas.

Ayala Malls Cinemas’ Thrillfest

Ayala Malls Cinemas’ latest Thrillfest from October 26 to November 1 presents three of the horror genre’s all-time greats that are best seen and experienced on the big screen. Robinsons Horrorkada Free Horror Movie Fest

Select Robinsons Malls will be featuring free horror movie screenings on October 29 and October 30. Catch Kisaragi Station and Hell Girl on October 29, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively. On October 30, Warning Do not Play and Divine Fury will be taking over the timeslots. The movies will be shown for free. Cinema-goers just have to download the RMalls+ app, claim the free movie voucher and exchange it for tickets at the cinema ticket booth. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 3 p.m. on that day.

Combine sweet and scary at The Dessert Museum Horror Nights

From October 29 to October 31, The Dessert Museum is opening its doors to guests to see what goes down when the lights go out. Check out this horror house set-up at The Dessert Museum from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for just P399. Walk-ins are allowed but you could also book your tickets ahead online. Bring a lot of courage because this adventure is anything but sweet!

Get ready for a  day full of tricks and treats this Halloween at Bonifacio Global City on Saturday, October 29. One Bonifacio High Street along 5th Avenue will turn into Spook Street, all decked up with creepy surroundings and friendly monsters, pleasantly “scaring” kids with treats and surprises. The event will feature hourly game shows, arts & crafts activities, and a Trick or Treat Parade to be held at 2/F of One Bonifacio High Street, all free of charge. Take selfies and groufies with the many large-scale installations and customized cartoon characters that will dot 5th Avenue. Skate and groove at a Halloween Skate Party Robinsons Metro East

Not into the whole spooks and scares but still want to join in on the Halloween spirit? Join Robinsons Metro East's Halloween Skate Party for an open jam skating session. Don your trusty ol' skates and a funky ghoulish costume and get ready for a fun skate and dance party. It's bound to be a fun time with beats courtesy of a live DJ and a band along with some tricks and treats from the organizers. Go on a virtual tour of the different haunts in Metro Manila

On October 30 at 8 p.m., join a haunted virtual tour of Metro Manila courtesy of Wander Manila. This online activity will feature stories and urban legends from all over the Metro. It will be broadcasted on Wander Manila's Facebook page for everyone to join from the confines of their homes. The virtual tours typically last for an hour and have a succeeding Q&A session.

Learn about the dark history of Fort Santiago through this free walking tour

Intramuros is offering a free guided night tour around Fort Santiago on October 31, the eve of All Saints' Day, allowing Filipinos to remember those who died from war and other crimes that took place within Manila's historic walled city. Visitors can avail of the free guided tour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with no prior registration or reservation required. The tour will last for one hour and will cover areas around Fort Santiago, including old Spanish barracks, dungeons, and other historical ruins. Note that while the tour itself is free, guests still have to pay the entrance fees to get into Fort Santiago which is P75 and a discounted rate of P50 for students, PWDs, senior citizens, and children below 18 years old.
