(SPOT.ph) It's no secret Filipinos love a good burger. It's a quick bite you can have sitting down or on the go, perfect for our seemingly never-ending busy schedules. Right now, there's no shortage of quality burger joints in the Metro, but if you're looking for a new bang-for-your-buck option near the Mandaluyong and Ortigas business centers, you might want to drop by Burger Beast's latest pop-up at Capitol Commons Park. Who knows, your next favorite burger might just be on the griddle.

Burger prices start at P239, which is a great deal considering the quality of the burger you are getting. ICYDK, Burger Beast makes everything that goes into their burgers from scratch. Speaking with the Burger Beast himself, Chef Carlo Miguel (formerly of Draft Gastropub) tells SPOT.ph that when he conceptualized Burger Beast, he wanted to bring fine-dining standards to everyday comfort food. So he painstakingly came up with the recipes not only for the patty mixes but also for all the sauces, condiments, and toppings. He also noted that even their bread is made specifically for the burger joint with help from his friends who are bakers.

Unsure of what to get from Burger Beast? We can't blame you. All the burgers look oh-so-good. But gun to our heads, here are our top picks: If you're a fan of rich caramelized onions and sweet-spicy yet tangy sriracha mayo flavors, you won't go wrong with their Umami Burger (P249)or the Umami Quorn Sandwich (P329) for the vegan option.

Whether you're having the beef or the vegan option, the overall flavor profile is the same. The beef burger is just as you would expect. It is a juicy meaty masterpiece with rich flavors. You can really taste the moist beef patty, along with some char and smokiness from the griddle. Plus, the seared meat adds a welcome crunch to every bite, perfectly balanced by the soft and fluffy buns. On the other hand, the vegan Quorn patty is surprisingly similar to chicken nuggets or chicken fillets. It's a welcome surprise for us who don't really enjoy the often artificial flavor of meatless options because we're not gonna lie, if we weren't told it was vegan, we'd 100% think it was chicken.

But the real hero for us is the Truffle Burger (P329). TBH, we're still dreaming of that perfectly balanced truffle aioli mixing with the ooey-gooey melted mozzarella cheese. It's such a well-balanced burger. You get the meaty, succulent, perfectly seasoned patty which cuts through the richness of the truffle.  And yes, this patty, too, is well-seared, so you also get that crunch and an extra hint of flavor from the crispy bits.
