Summer Scoops: NYC's Milk Bar Ice Cream Tubs Are Available at This Supermarket

(SPOT.ph) One of the pains of living in the Philippines is that we're thousands and thousands of miles away from any locations of Chef Christina Tosi's Milk Bar (ahem, we're waiting!). Luckily, supermarkets are starting to carry Milk Bar items—easily and conveniently lessening our FOMO without having the need to book an expensive flight to the U.S. One of these supermarkets is S&R Membership Shopping which now carries Milk Bar's line of ice cream flavors—and you can get them at a discounted price for a limited time!

Christina Tosi's cool Milk Bar ice cream tubs are available at S&R Membership Shopping:
S&R Membership Shopping carries a number of Milk Bar ice cream tubs, namely the Cereal Milk, Pie, Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow, Candy Cane Chocolate Chip Cornflake, and Gingerbread House. Yup, these sweet, creamy dessert tubs are just the thing keep us company this dry season. Best part? though they usually cost P469 for a 414-ml tub, the Milk Bar ice cream tubs are currently going for just P399 each as part of S&R's Summer Haul promo (until April 30!). Go get your hands on them, stat.
The Cereal Milk ice cream, clearly inspired by Tosi's famous Cereal Milk cake, uses a sweet, salty, corny ice cream base, then mixes it with the store's signature cornflakes. The popular cake flavor also comes in a cookie version, and a frozen batter is available in a separate local grocery.
Influenced by another Milk Bar classic, the Pie is basically the Milk Bar Pie in ice cream format. It uses the store's signature pie filling and toasted oat bits, then mixes it in a deep vanilla ice cream base.
The Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow and the Candy Cane Chocolate Chip Cornflake are two flavors that get even more creative with the store's cornflake approach. The former uses a classic chocolate chip cookie dough for the ice cream base but with added cornflakes, chocolate chunks, and melted marshmallow swirls for added crunch and sweetness; while the latter is for those people on Team Mint Chocolate, as this uses a candy cane-flavored cookie dough studded with cornflakes, crushed candy cane, chocolate chunks, and marshmallow swirl. Gingerbread House, on the other hand, sounds simpler than the two but is still on-brand in the realm of Christina Tosi desserts. This flavor uses gingerbread-flavored ice cream and mixes it with bits of gingerbread cookies, candy gems, and icing swirls.
