This Burger King “Burger” Has 20 Slices of Cheese

(SPOT.ph) There are two kinds of burger fans in the world: those who like theirs plain, and those who appreciate the creamy, salty element a slice (or two) of cheese contributes. But if none of the cheeseburgers available near you satisfy, this new item from Burger King Thailand could be your guy. We're not even kidding when we say it's got a whopping 20 slices of cheese.

Here's the deal on Burger King Thailand's new Real Cheeseburger:

Burger King Thailand's Real Cheeseburger jacks up the cheese element 20-fold, what with that much slices of American cheese in between the chain's signature burger buns. It even does away with the distractions, if you will, by skipping the lettuce, tomatoes, sauces, and even the burger patty. Whether it can be called "real" given the use of processed cheese is debatable, but is it a burger without a patty? What does it mean to even be a burger?? Either way, it's quite the monstrosity. Just look at this bad boy.

As you'd expect, the Real Cheeseburger's gotten plenty of traction online—for better and worse (mostly the latter). Thailand-based writer Richard Barrow shares he "struggled eating even half" of his burger; Lifestyle Asia's Eric Surbano sums up his thoughts to say it "sucks." No surprise there. For starters, as opposed to product photos that show at least some parts of the cheese being melted, the actual Real Cheeseburger has an all-cold stack of the dairy product. And then there's the fact that without additional embellishments, you're left with nothing more than the taste of bread and cheese—processed cheese at that, which is great in moderation, not so great when you've got 20 whole slices of it in a sandwich. (It's a sandwich.)
