SPOTTED: Antonio's in Bridgetowne, Quezon City
This under-construction building in Bridgetowne has our attention.
(SPOT.ph) Antonio's is an institution. There's no other place quite like it, from the interiors to the service, and of course, the top-notch food, it's an experience that's hard to recreate—especially if you take into account its picturesque setting in Tagaytay. Still, that won't stop us from hoping there was a way to get Antonio's without having to leave the Metro. We've already got a bit of a taste with their branch at PGA Cars, and it looks like we're about to get another as we spotted what seems to be a standalone Antonio's in Bridgetowne, Quezon City.
Antonio's spotted in Bridgetowne
Bridgetowne is the up-and-coming township along C5 that straddles both Quezon City and Pasig. Right by the newly opened Opus Mall along C5 is where we saw it: a gorgeous white building occupying a manicured lawn that is covered with, yes, that unmistakable Antonio's logo.
Pinch us, we have to be dreaming. SPOT has reached out to both Antonio's and Bridgetowne representatives for confirmation and is yet to receive a reply. If it is confirmed to be a fully fledged Antonio's, it will be the second in the capital and the only one with its own area right in the luxe township of Bridgetowne.
We spotted the Antonio's right by Opus mall, near the office towers of Exxa and Zeta. You can even see the massive statue by renowned Fil-Am artist JEFRË Manuel-Figueras, dubbed "The Victor," in the background.
Head on over inside the mall and you'll see that a Breakfast at Antonio's is also opening up on the ground floor, near one of the entrances. That means we're getting two Antonio's restaurants practically right next to each other. This will be their second branch in the Metro, the first being the highly anticipated one in Robinsons Magnolia that opened in May 2023.
Antonio's OG branch in Tagaytay is a go-to for Manileños come long weekends and holidays. Apart from having its share of regulars, it's even been included in coveted best-resto lists by international bodies, among them the 2022 Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 51 to 100 list. This restaurant is led by the same people that brought us Balay Dako and, in Manila, specialty shop Pedro the Grocer.
