(SPOT.ph) Home to cozy eateries for bulalo, a growing number of chef-driven restaurants, and buko pie shops on every corner, Tagaytay has an especially colorful food scene that keeps us Metro-dwellers going back come long weekend and summer vacation. Now celebrating its dining landscape is the very first Tagaytay Food and Wine Festival, which brings together some of the city's best restaurants for a series of events and dinners not to miss!

What to expect at the Tagaytay Food and Wine Festival 2024
The Tagaytay Food and Wine Festival is a two-weekend affair of exclusive events and dinners by some of Tagaytay's best chefs and restaurants. The events take place from July 12 to 13 and July 20 to 21.
The celebration kicks off with the Grand Tasting (P3,950/person) happening at 6 p.m. on July 12.

- Farmer's Table's Kalel Chan
- Asador by Dos Mestizos' Binggoy Remedios
- View Park Hotel’s Siglo Restaurant

- Representing local farmers will be the Slow Food Community

Also not to be missed are these special collab dinners between Tagaytay chefs and other talented local players. There's the Harvest Dinner at The Fatted Calf on July 13, where chefs Jayjay SyCip, Rhea SyCip, and Pilgrim Davao’s Jeramie Go will be joining forces for a special menu celebrating the local landscape. Come July 20 there's a special sunset session Luxe at 180 dinner (P4,500/head) at 180 by Chef Sau, revolving around truffle and caviar, by chefs Sau del Rosario, Oliver Buenviaje of Australia's Olio's Fine Food, and John Buenaventura of Emirates. Concluding the July festivities is the Heritage Buffet (P2,200) at Taal Vista Hotel, at 11:30 a.m. on July 21; this lunch buffet will bring together the talents of chefs Jayme Natividad of Taal Vista Hotel, and Jayjay and Rhea SyCip of The Fatted Calf. Simply give 7917-8225 a call to reserve. Watch out, too, for the inaugural Creative Bulalo Challenge that'll be taking place in September!
