(SPOT.ph) Shake Shack definitely shook Manila up (pun not intended!) when they opened their first Philippine branch in Bonifacio Global City in 2019. They went on to open another branch in SM Megamall, much to the delight of Ortigas folks. But if you're in the Makati area and find yourself hankering for their signatures, we've got good news: Shake Shack has announced that they'll be opening their Greenbelt branch on October 27, 11 a.m.!
The new branch will be located in Greenbelt 5, and Shake Shack has collaborated with local designers to spruce up their space with natural materials like rattan and timber. You can expect to find pendant lamps handcrafted and handwoven out of Arurog vine by Negros-based group Hacienda Crafts. The new branch will also have a dedicated al-fresco space, if outdoor dining is your jam.
Shake Shack's got special promos even before the new branch opens. From October 16 to 23, you can win Shake Shack goods by taking a one-minute clip of yourself performing the original Shack Clap with your own creative remix (be sure to wear something green!), and uploading it on Shake Shack's Facebook page with a caption on what makes you the ultimate Shack fan. You can win a P1,000 gift card, Shake Shack merchandise, and more!
You're in for a treat on opening weekend (October 27 to November 2), as the first 50 guests to drop by the new branch for dine-in or takeaway can win free Shack shades, Shack2O, and Auro Chocolate Bars. The very first guest can also win a year's supply of Concretes from the Greenbelt, so mark your calendars!
Can't go out? Don't fret; Shake Shack's giving away a free Shack Box of exclusive Shack Greenbelt items for the first 100 who order via the GrabFood app from October 27 to November 2, for a minimum spend of P1,000.
ICYMI, Shake Shack's ShackBurger (P250/single, P410/double) placed second in our 2019 Top 10 Cheeseburgers in Manila list thanks to how each individual component is excellent in itself but also comes together to form a near-perfect burger. Last June, they also released the Chick'n Shack (P250)—their take on a chicken sandwich—and if these aren't enough reasons to be excited, we don't know what is!
Shake Shack is a casual joint best known for their burgers and thick, creamy milkshakes. If you can't wait for the Makati branch and can't head out, fret not; for now, you can always order their burgers for delivery from their BGC or Megamall branches through GrabFood or Foodpanda. If you'd like to try cooking their fare for yourself, you can go for their DIY Shackburger Kit (P1,600/good for eight) or DIY Shack Attack Kit (P350).
