Yabu's Stuffed Their Katsu Into Baos and We Can't Deal

How 'bao this for lunch today?

(SPOT.ph) One of the most reliable ways to get your meat fix is through a golden-brown piece of katsu—and nobody does the Japanese dish quite like Yabu. Regardless of the protein you go for, they fry up katsu that's perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside every time! While it's always a treat to have it with rice, there are other ways to enjoy it too; how does a flavorful, handheld bao sound to you? No need to dream, because Yabu's recently introduced their Katsu Baos—i.e., different katsu variants, plus sauces and other ingredients, in soft and pillowy steamed bao buns that you can sink your teeth right into!

Here's a new way to get your Yabu katsu fix.

If chicken is your meat of choice, you can go for the Chicken Katsu Bao—Yabu's crunchy chicken katsu with the savory-sweet combo of picked cucumbers, karashi tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, and onion jam. Prefer a cheesy bite? Try the Menchi Katsu Bao, which has their cheese-stuffed ground-meat katsu plus pickled cucumbers, karashi tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, and onion jam. And if you're on a see-food—er, seafood—diet, don't miss the Ebi Katsu Bao; it's got Yabu's shrimp katsu, takanazuke (Japanese mustard leaf pickles), spicy aioli, and onion jam. Each bao goes for P125, and you can try it at your nearby Yabu store or get it delivered by sending the shop nearest you a message on Viber.
