WATCH: Lee Min Ho Has Something to Say to Filipino Fans
Along with the rest of the cast of The King: Eternal Monarch!

(SPOT.ph) We know, we know—we can hardly tell the workdays from the weekends ourselves, but let this serve as a reminder for you to make that distinction and set aside some time for yourself this Saturday and Sunday. If you plan to binge-watch a K-Drama this weekend, here are Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, and the rest of the cast of the new romance fantasy drama called The King: Eternal Monarch, with a quick message about their show on Netflix.
The series—which started streaming on the platform on April 17—marks the return of Min Ho to the K-Drama world after his military service. He plays Emperor Lee Gon, who steps into a parallel world and meets Jung Tae Eul (Go Eun), a police detective. There are two parallel universes to explore, lots of mysteries, and a blossoming romance to look forward to in this new show.
Woo Do Hwan plays chief royal guard Jo Yeong; Kim Kyung-nam as Kang Sin Jae, also a police detective like Tae Eul; and Jung Eun Chae as Goo Seo Ryung, the first female prime minister of Korea.Â
The King: Eternal Monarch will have 16 episodes and is written by Kim Eun Suk, whom hardcore K-Drama fans may be familiar with from her work on Goblin and Descendants of the Sun. It is directed by Baek Sang Hoon, who was also at the helm of Descendants of the Sun.
