(SPOT.ph) Horror films have taken on different forms over the years—from psychological thrillers like Eerie, suspense-filled flicks like Annabelle Comes Home, to gory messes like Clarita to make you sick at the sight of blood for at least a week. If you're looking for something different—a thriller with bright and sunny scenes—Midsommar might be up your alley. You can catch this folk-horror film at Cinema '76 from July 24 to 30.
Written and directed by Ari Aster (Hereditary), the film follows the story of Dani (Florence Pugh) and Christian (Will Poulter) who end up taking a trip to a Swedish village with their friends. They find themselves being part of the Midsommar festival, which only happens every 90 years and consists of bizarre rituals and mortifying sacrifices.
