(SPOT.ph) The dashing image of a hero is one we're all familiar with—a perfect face, smooth muscles, good manners, and a spandex suit, of couse. Now while heroes of that sort are appreciated, a masked antihero with his own flaws and dark humor is a welcome change. Case in point: Wade Wilson's Deadpool. If you're in the mood for brazen jokes and characters shamelessly breaking the fourth wall, you can start streaming Deadpool on Netflix starting February 12.
All is well and wedding bells are ringing for mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), but once Wade is diagnosed with cancer, he leaves her to avoid having her watch him die slowly. Enticed by the prospect of a cure to his illness, he agrees to undergo experiments under Ajax (Ed Skrein), who activates superhuman healing abilities within Wade. Though free from cancer, the mutation poses a horrible side effect, and Wade hunts Ajax down to reverse his disfigurement.
