(SPOT.ph) Nothing like a revolutionary movie to really get your blood boiling. In case you need to feel alive again, then you'd best clear out your Friday night schedule because the 2015 blockbuster hit Heneral Luna premieres online today, August 28! It will drop on the TBA Studios' YouTube channel at 9 p.m. with a special premiere event until 11 p.m.
There's already a video up on the production company's channel, but you have a few more hours to wait until the film begins. Plus, it looks like the films' director—and writer, editor, and musical composer—Jerrold Tarog will be joining the live chat during the premiere! He's set to answer all your burning questions in real time.
Here's a history refresher: the film recounts the tale of the anti-hero General Antonio Luna (John Arcilla), as he leads a revolutionary army against the Spanish colonizers while negotiating with the Americans. The catch? The foreigners aren't the only ones he clashes with. The general must also deal with fellow Filipinos, including the Philippines' first president, General Emilio Aguinaldo (Mon Confiado).
Local production company TBA Studios has been dropping their films left and right on YouTube since the quarantine began. Heneral Luna will be the latest addition to their films that you can stream online.
