(SPOT.ph) Over the past year, we've witnessed the unexpected return of Alfred Molina's Doc Ock and Willem DaFoe's Green Goblin to the big screen in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the birth of the mighty Marvel Legend Morbius (Jared Leto) in Sony Pictures' Morbius. Spider-Man fans are definitely eating well with all this content, but there's only more to come in the Spider-Verse. The next foe Spider-Man will face off against? You just need to read the first word of this paragraph.
That's right, the Spider-Man villain known as the Spot is making his big screen debut in next year's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where he'll be one of the main antagonists fighting off against Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), and Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac). This Spot's power is not the ability to be the lifestyle brand that'll guide you through this strange new world (that's us), but instead, this villain (not us) has the power to create interdimensional portals with the spots on his body.

Here's everything we know about Spot and the villains of Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse:
Spot in the animated film will be voiced by Jason Schwartzman, whom you may know as Gideon "G-Man" Graves from cult comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Other newly announced cast members include The Lonely Island's Jorma Taccone as the Vulture (a character played in live-action by Michael Keaton) and Shea Whigham as George Stacy, Gwen's father.
An underrated villain from Spider-Man comics, the Spot is probably best-known from his appearance in '90s Spider-Man: The Animated Series television show. This will be the character's first outing on the big screen, and what better way to debut than to appear in the amazingly animated Spider-Verse movies.
As the follow-up to 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the film will follow Miles as he ventures around the multiverse (a la Doctor Strange...or Michelle Yeoh) with a new group of Spider-People, including Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099.
