Showgirls - Elizabeth Berkley and Kyle MacLachlan
Let's kick this list off with the movie sex scene that has wetness dialed up to 11, Showgirls. Paul Verhoeven's extravagantly campy satire of the American machine of greed and stardom is perhaps most infamous for its—how shall we say—unhinged pool sex scene. Berkley is just going crazy, wailing around in the pool, and MacLachlan is just trying to keep it all together. Sorry to say, but the scene actually goes hard. It will likely go down as one of the all-time, most memorable sex scenes in general.
365 Days - Anna Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone
The Polish Netflix film 365 dni features many unusual sex scenes, from sex chains to a very, uhm, spirited blowjob, but the sex scene that lit the Internet on fire? This shower sex scene between the two leads. Initially, it's your typical steamy shower session, but then the leading man suddenly grabs our leading lady by the back of her neck, then starts talking down at her in a Batman voice. Overall, an insane choice to end your sex scene with.

Wild Things - Neve Campbell and Denise Richards
Between champagne pouring onto naked bodies and scenes of literal passionate sweat, 1998's Wild Things is undoubtedly one of the wettest movies in existence. Its wettest, and perhaps most iconic, scene? The scene where Kevin Bacon watches like a Peeping Tom as Campbell and Richards get into a fight in a swimming pool before they suddenly start to passionately make out. A real, dirty movie featuring just the most frustrating characters to watch.
The Notebook - Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams
When it comes to passionate, wet sex scenes set in the rain, no other comes to mind than, surprisingly, the PG-13 Nicholas Sparks romance The Notebook. The scene comes at the climactic moment where the two long-lost lovers are at long last reunited after the world has kept trying to pull them apart. Just simple things like the slow removal of wet socks give this scene a needed touch of intimacy to really hit us in the feels. It's wet cause we're crying, okay?
9 1/2 Weeks - Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger
The famous staircase sex scene from 9 1/2 Weeks starts off with the couple being soaked by a nearby pipe that they ruptured while getting the freaky deaky on, then it continues to them getting drenched by rain (insert question mark here, as it's quite unclear where the sudden downpour is coming from). Pretty sure director Adrian Lyne (known for his filmography of erotic pictures) just kept yelling "more rain!" while on set, while Rourke and Basinger just ran with it. Could their characters have ruptured more pipes or even have summoned the rain just by the mere strength of their love-making? Who knows.
Gone Girl - Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris
Water isn't the only thing that can get you wet... blood can too, and the shocking moment from David Fincher's Gone Girl has loads of it. The sex scene starts off on a pure, white bed with both characters even dressed in white, then ends with pretty much the whole set soaked in red. Sincerest apologies to Ben Affleck's penis, because this is the nude scene that stole the film.
Species - Natasha Henstridge
Fellas, if you're lady says she wants to conceive a baby with you in your pool, don't fall for it. She could be a genetic experiment created by scientists that spliced together human and alien DNA. Of course, we're only thinking this because we grew up watching the sci-fi B-movie series Species in the 1990's. The first film has got a fun sex scene where the new species (in the form of Natasha Henstridge, no less) tries to get impregnated with a random Los Angeles citizen, before she later tries to kill him in his pool. Sci-fi; not entirely for nerds!
Affluenza - Ben Rosenfield and Carla Quevedo
A pool sex scene that happens early on in the film Affluenza has what every pubescent boy would want out of a dirty scene that he was not allowed to watch; a girl looking longingly at a guy and saying "is it really your birthday?" with an accompanying lip bite, sprinklers going off even as the characters are naked in a pool, and, wow, even some Spanish!
Elite - Ester Expósito
The 40 episodes of the Spanish Netflix teen drama Elite, unsurprisingly, has a wide selection of sex scenes featuring Expósito and many men who definitely look over than 20 years old, but we'll buy into it, because this is what producers think high school was like apparently. Anyway, a standout in the series is undoubtedly a steamy shower sex-capade Expósito has, which then leads into a bathtub heart-to-heart session. Like, wow, girl, pick one.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Judge Reinhold and Phoebe Cates
Closing off this list, we have the classic pool scene that all your dads and titos know about: the scene of imaginary Phoebe Cates coming out of the pool in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. While not technically a sex scene, since it's just purely in the imagination of a horny teenager masturbating in the bathroom, it was leading up to that! If only she didn't walk in on him.
