(SPOT.ph) How fortunate are we that, in the year of our Lord 2022, Harry Styles is delivering to us quality cinema not just in the form of a song named "Cinema" on his latest album release Harry's House but also in the form of a suburban horror film directed by Olivia Wilde? Incredibly fortunate. No need to think about how it's not the same "as it was" anymore; this era of Styles might be better... and a little freakier?
Styles appears opposite Midsommar and Black Widow's Florence Pugh in the aforementioned suburban horror film Don't Worry Darling, which Warner Bros. Pictures has just released a new trailer for.

Here's what is revealed in the new Don't Worry Darling trailer:
The trailer opens with Styles and Pugh's seemingly average married life in this bright and sunny suburbia seemingly plucked straight out of the 1950s. However, it becomes clear quite early on via brief interactions with the neighbors that there's something wrong with the town.
The film looks primarily inspired by the films of Jordan Peele, Get Out and Us, in regard to its aesthetic and approach to horror from a single family unit's perspective. There are also some shades of Italian filmmaker Dario Argento's Suspiria (which was remade in 2018 with director Luca Guadagnino and Dakota Johnson), with the inclusion of what seems to be horrific ballet sequences. Finally, we can also see a bit of Stanley Kubrick and Eyes Wide Shut in the mix, with the lavish ball hosted by a secret society, as well as, to a lesser extent, the sexually charged scenes between Styles and Pugh.
Along with Styles, the Internet's other boyfriend, Chris Pine, also manages to strike the perfect balance between being incredibly seductive and outwardly creepy—especially in the scene where he appears to be happily watching Pugh's and Styles' characters make out. Wilde and Gemma Chan round out the cast of this suburban nightmare.
It's also worth noting that Oscar-nominated Filipino-American cinematographer Matthew Libatique (of A Star is Born and Black Swan fame) is shooting the picture.
