(SPOT.ph) If you've been fortunate enough to be able to head out to the beach or any sort of happy-go-lucky road trip within the past year, then you've undoubtedly heard the upbeat-but-melancholic, classic-but-modern remix "Cold Heart" by superstars Elton John and Dua Lipa. The song mashes together lyrics from John's previous works, such as "Rocket Man," "Sacrifice," "Kiss the Bride," and "Where's the Shoorah?" in a notably slower tempo, arguably proving these classic hits can be elevated to "timeless" with some dabbling into modern pop energy.
With John's formidable discography of—*ahem*—certified bangers, such as "I'm Still Standing," "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," "Bennie & the Jets," and the like, we've wondered how soon another modern reinterpretation of his classics would emerge on the radio. Turns out, oops... Elton's done it again! He and Britney Spears are dropping a remix of an Elton John staple, "Tiny Dancer," in August.

Page Six has reported that Spears and John recorded a duet of John's 1971 single "Tiny Dancer" in secret at John's own Beverly Hills recording studio in mid-July. Universal Music will release the track in August, their sources claimed.
An industry insider also told the outlet that the new song was produced by Andrew Watt, who produced most of the songs on John's recent studio album The Lockdown Sessions. That album also featured "Cold Heart," although the song itself was produced by Pnau.

"They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good," their source said. "They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer. Britney is officially back. She’s back to work, and she’s super excited."
In late 2021, after a long-fought legal dispute, Spears was able to terminate the conservatorship that she was involuntarily placed under in 2008, when she was 27 years old, as she accused her father, other conservators, her family, and management team of abuse and mistreatment. Since the conservatorship was terminated in November, Spears has gotten married to long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari, signed a $15 million book deal to pen a memoir, and also promised a return to music.
Whenever this "Tiny Dancer" remix drops, it'll be clear beyond any doubt that Britney's back! And we're ready to be hit one, two—really any number—more times with new music from her.
