Uniqlo, Nike, Adidas + More: The Biggest Standalone and Outlet Stores for Your Next Road Trip South

(SPOT.ph) Headed south for a quick out-of-town getaway? Tagaytay is top of mind for sure. Go for a staycation, enjoy the cold weather while munching and sipping on some bulalo. Another option is Laguna if you want to go for a swim—no lack of resorts with heated pools in the area. You might want to drive down to Alabang if you're game for indoor activities, entertainment, or, whatnot. Wherever south you're going, we know there's one thing sure to be part of the itinerary: shopping. Which is why we've come up with a guide to everyone's fave road-trip destination. Outlet stores—which is where, for the uninitiated, everything is at a lesser price—and standalone stores are scattered throughout the area; we list down some of the biggest ones you have to visit if you're in bargain-hunting mood.

The biggest and best outlet or roadside stores south of Metro Manila

Uniqlo Roadside Stores

Nuvali

As a big Uniqlo fan living in the South (or not, because let's be real here: we'll travel wherever for our beloved apparel brand), it's an understatement to say that you were beyond excited when the third Uniqlo roadside store in the country popped up at Nuvali. Plus, it's their largest store—1,418 square meters, to be exact—in Laguna which means more and more space filled with their lifewear items. And, as if it couldn't get any cooler, there's an outdoor park complete with a bicycle rack, a kids' active zone, and a charging station.

Uniqlo Nuvali is located at the Ayala Estate Development along the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Westgate

Before there were three, the first of the Uniqlo roadside store opened up at Westgate, Filinvest City, Alabang. And yup, they started things big. We're talking 1,518 square meters big. While it's not as huge as the flagship store in Manila, it is one of the biggest in the South. Warning: You may get lost looking through Uniqlo's full LifeWear collection and so much more, but really, we wouldn't complain if we did.

SLEX Mamplasan

Whether you're going to or from the South—you're either the driver who has to keep their eyes ahead or the passenger who likes to feel a la main character while looking at the window—it's nearly impossible to miss the number of outlet stores that stands high and mighty just by the SLEX road. Check out some of our picks that you should visit:

Nike Factory Store

Always on the lookout for activewear and kicks? There's nowhere else better to go to than the Nike Factory Store, especially if you love The Swoosh (who doesn't?). Best part about outlet stores is that their prices are usually lower, and you know what that means: more Nike items to add to cart. There are a lot of Nike Factory Store branches scattered around the Metro, two of them are located in Laguna—at SLEX Mampalasan and at the Paseo Outlets.

Levi's Outlet Store

You can find racks upon racks and shelves upon shelves of apparel—think comfortable and stylish jeans and jackets—from Levi's at their outlet stores in the South. You already know the drill: make sure to scour the whole store for the best deals. They already have three stores in different parts of the area: two in Laguna (like the Nike Factory Store, which means you can hit two birds with one stone, wink wink) at the SLEX Mamplasan and Paseo Outlets (that's to and from the Metro), and one in Cavite at the Acienda Designer Outlet.

Acienda Designer Outlet

Whether you're already driving down or going up to Tagaytay for that well-deserved breather, your trip won't be complete without at least stopping by to see all the great deals at the Acienda Designer Outlet, touted as "the first true international outlet mall in the Philippines" that houses designer, fashion brands with items found at discounted prices. Adidas

If there's something that could make you drive down to any place, it's sneakers. Especially if you can cop cool pairs for less. If you're also a fan of The Three Stripes brand, then the Adidas Outlet store has it all. You can drown in kicks, stylish apparel, and other gear for both men and women donning the popular logo of Adidas on shelves, racks, and displays.

Onitsuka Tiger

Yup, you read that right. You can find the home of the cult-favorite Mexico 66s—as well as its countless, eye-catching iterations and colorways—plus more of the Japanese footwear brand's silhouettes here. It's the perfect place to be whether you're stocking up on fresh new pairs or just window shopping (this, we cannot guarantee) for cool kicks.

Mango

When it comes to stylish outfits, Mango is the place to be. If you ever need to stock your wardrobe with fresh pieces without breaking the bank (too much), head on over to Mango's Outlet Store at the Acienda Designer Outlet. 

Acienda Designer Outlet is located at Unit 115, Unit 58, Emilio Aguinaldo Hwy, Silang, Cavite.

The Paseo Outlets

The Paseo Outlets is another place to be when you're looking for items from your favorite brands at a much lesser price, a.k.a. looking for budol. You can find lots of brands in one place, and yup, they're "on sale, everyday". Spot all kinds of fashion brands here, including the Nike Factory Outlet and Levi's Outlet Store. 

The Paseo Outlets is located at Greenfield City, Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Don Jose, Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Japan Home Centre

Not as south as the rest, but no less worth the drive is this spot in BF Homes, Parañaque City. And why wouldn't it be when this gargantuan branch has three floors worth of all kinds of home and life essentials at the best budget-friendly prices. Just going to reiterate their standard P88 rate right here. On top of that, they also have a dedicated "Sanrio Corner" filled with Hello Kitty-themed finds so huge bonus if you're a fan of the famed anthropomorphic cat and friends.

The Outlets at Lipa

If ever you're in Batangas, you should drop by The Outlets at Lipa, one of Luzon's biggest outlet destinations for some serious shopping. You can find popular brands such as Adidas, Nike, Digital Walker, Crocs, Guess, Levi's, Bench, and a whole lot more in one place.
