Sounds appealing? Try your hand at these ones we found on Steam.

Here are some wholesome indie games that could warm your cold nights (and cold hearts):

A Little to the Left

If you love tidying up and organizing, are the type to find this activity satisfying and therapeutic, then this cozy game is right up your alley. All you have to do is sort, stack, and arrange familiar and day-to-day household items neatly. You’ll also encounter puzzles along the way, as well as one adorable (not to mention mischievous) cat that will occasionally mess with your work. No worries, though, you have all the time you need to begin again.

Lake

In this slice-of-life game, you will be playing as Margaret Weiss, who returns to her hometown of Providence Oaks for two weeks working as a mail delivery person. You’ll get to walk through the quiet, rustic, and quaint town—with no cellphones or the Internet, mind you—through Margaret’s eyes and have the chance to engage with the townsfolk, establish and rekindle relationships, and really, get a much-needed relaxation and change of scenery. Maybe playing as Meredith will get you to have a little breather, too. And for an even more nostalgic feel, this game is set in the ‘80s.

Lake is available on Steam for P449.95.

Spiritfarer

This cozy indie adventure game talks about the reality of death and all that comes with it. With an adorable cat companion, Daffodil, you will play as Stella, a spirit farer and a ferry master in charge of the Charon, the mythological boat that accommodates spirits about to sail across to the afterlife. As Stella, you also get to grant spirit’s last requests before letting them cross; every one of their backstories will definitely warm and tug your heartstrings, most probably bring you to tears, too, while being accompanied by a somber and yet enchanting theme and background music throughout your journey.

Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition is available on Steam for P649.95. There’s a promo until September 13 that allows you to cop it for only P214.48.

Potion Craft

You’ll get to practice the art of potion-making in this simulation game. Brew and make your own potions, as the title says so, and even experiment with recipes, and sell them in town. You’ll also be the one to harvest ingredients and man the equipment. Think of it as an alternate life you can build all in your own quiet time.

Cozy Grove

Think Animal Crossing, but you’re a Spirit Scout in a then lifeless (pun intended) and haunted island. It’s a life-sim game that lets you roam around, craft, talk to and help the cute and kind residents, er, local spirits—each with a different story—unlock secrets, and bring color to the area in the process. Just like the name itself, the vibe of the game is cozy and relaxing, perfect for when you just want to stay in your room all day long. There will be a lot of crafting and exploring.

Cozy Grove is available on Steam for P389.95.

Unpacking

In the vein of A Little to the Left, Unpacking walks you through a person’s life, as well as their milestones, through “unpacking” (as the title says) their things. From a child’s room, dorm room, then to an apartment to a large house, you will get to walk through the protagonist’s life by the boxes they carry. Every stage means a new space, which means more boxes and more rooms to unpack and fit into your new home. When you want to take things slow, and organizing things is therapeutic for you, hit two birds with one stone through this zen, part block-fitting puzzle game. Maybe it’ll get you to start organizing your space, too.

Unpacking is available on Steam for P499.95.

Nostalgic Train

Have you ever wanted to visit Japan? You can have the chance to admire the rural area of the country without going as far as outside your room. In this first-person adventure-slash-walking simulator game, you play as someone who wakes up without any memories at a train stop in a beautiful yet deserted place called Natsugiri. You will get to walk around the ghost town with hopes of finding more about the stories of its missing people, and in the process, about yourself, too. You can play it in a story and/or a free mode.

Stardew Valley

Do you miss playing the Harvest Moon games? Stardew Valley is definitely up your alley then, since this farming simulation game was inspired by it. You will play as someone who inherited the farm their grandfather, who had passed away, had left. You can definitely cozy up with this game and “build the farm of your dreams” while also exploring the new environment, and adjusting to a new community.

Stardew Valley is available on Steam for P419.95.

Coffee Talk

This game is set in a coffee shop, rain dropping in the background—kind of like how the weather has been in the country in the last couple of months—with you striking realistic and interesting conversations with strangers over a warm cup of coffee that you prepare, as a barista. Like the drink you whip up, your heart will feel all warm listening to your customers pour out their problems to you with the lo-fi, chill vibes in the background. Have a hand at running up a coffee shop, whipping up drinks, and doing latte art, too.

Coffee Talk is available on Steam for P449.90.

The Wild at Heart

The dreamy, nature soundtrack and atmosphere of this adventure game can cast a small yet warm fire on a cold, winter night. The Wild at Heart follows two runaways, Wake and Kirby, and their journey into the Deep Woods—a place filled with mysticism, quirky Spritelings, and many more.

The Wild at Heart is available on Steam for P549.95.
