Disney's New Cruise Ship for Southeast Asia Boasts a Ton of Onboard Adventure

(SPOT.ph)  It's been an exciting weekend for fans of Disney as the recently concluded Destination 23 D23 left a lot for us to unpack. From new Disney Park attractions to new experiences to look forward to in the coming years, D23 gave us many new tidbits to consider for our Disney vacation planning.

You might remember us announcing the first-ever Disney Cruise plying Southeast Asian waters back in March, but D23 dropped new exciting details about the latest Disney Cruise ship on their fleet and, NGL, and we are excited.

Here's what we know about the upcoming Disney Cruise Ship headed to Singapore in 2025:

Disney Cruise Line partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board to bring their signature magic meets the sea experience to Southeast Asia. The Disney Cruise ship dubbed the Adventure is set to sail from Singapore and travel all over Southeast Asia in 2025. This marks the maiden voyage of any Disney Cruise ship in Southeast Asian waters. 

"Disney Adventure is the seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and work is currently underway in Germany.  It’ll be the first Disney ship to sail from Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia and feature the Disney service, storytelling, and entertainment everyone knows and loves," said Thomas Mazloum, President of Disney Signature Experiences, in a press statement.

Disney Adventure is set to port in Singapore's Marina Bay area for five years starting in 2025 and will let families "embark on an adventure unlike any other." The ship will feature several areas themed using crowd-favorite Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. Onboard, guests may participate in many cruise activities and experiences without leaving the ship.

According to reports, the 208,000-ton ship is still under construction at the MV Werften shipyard in Germany under Meyer Werft. This is the same company that built three of the six current Disney cruise ships, namely Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Dreams.

Although pricing and tour packages haven't been announced, we're excited about everything coming for this new ship, given that it'll be the star cruise liner coming out of Disney Cruise Line's silver anniversary this year.

While we're all on bated breath for everything Disney Adventure, here's a look at the Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Ship's newest craft setting sale in 2024. Although Disney ships are never exactly the same, you may want to keep your eyes peeled for possible similarities with the SEA-bound Disney Adventure as Disney Treasure is adventure-themed:
