Noveau Resort has two in-house restaurants and a lobby cafe. Everything is made in-house, with the finest and freshest ingredients. From an array of Asian eats and local Filipino fare to meals attuned to Western palates, there's no shortage of dining options at Noveau Resort. 

Start your mornings with a sprawling breakfast buffet at Mi Dining: Flavors of Asia. Don't skip the hot chocolate made with the best Camiguin tablea.

Next, grab a few pastries, kakanin, or even some house-made gelato at the lobby cafe to tide you over 'til your next meal or as snacks during your tour.

Enjoy a spread of Chinese delicacies, Korean street fare, and other Asian delights at Mi Dining for lunch. If you've got a few extra pesos lying around, go for their Peking Duck. Trust us, you won't regret it.

Then, end your day with the freshest catch of the day and premium meats grilled to perfection at the beachside grill. 

Alternatively, if you're celebrating a big event or are looking for a leveled-up island experience, book a special budol fight dinner by the gardens highlighting the best island produce and bounties of the sea. 

Also, if they're serving lanzones, eat it. The island isn't the home of the fruit without reason. Regardless of the time of year, the lanzones from Camiguin are top-tier sweet and worth noshing on. 

What to do in Camiguin?

The real dilemma when staying at Nouveau lies in whether you'll want to spend all your time on tours or if you want to maximize your stay at the resort. Don't get us wrong. If it's your first time to Camiguin, then definitely go on all the tours. As Camiguin isn't that big of an island, you can fully explore all the municipalities and key sights to see in two days.

Nouveau Resort can facilitate booking your tours both in-land and island hopping. For the best experience, we recommend heading out early to visit the White Island sand bar and Mantigue Island for snorkeling and water activities. Pro tip: turtles abound in Mantigue Island's Marine Sanctuary. If you reckon, you're a strong enough swimmer, we recommend getting a guide and skin diving or snorkeling around the island. During our visit, we got the chance to see over 20 turtles just hanging out.

Make it a  point to visit the Sunken Cemetery and Old Church Ruins for sunset. (unless you are going diving, which requires more light.) Also, sneak in some time to visit a waterfall or two and a few heritage houses like Casa Corales for a dose of history. 

But if this isn't your first time and you want a ton of R&R for this trip, then you can also opt to just stay within the resort. There is no shortage of things to do in Nouveau. From activities and facilities for kids and kids-at-heart like the pool, treehouses, recreation room with Karaoke and Mahjong tables, and the water park to kicking it back by the pool or at the spa, whatever floats your boat, you'll find it here.

Personally, we spent a huge chunk of our time by the pool or in the tub, chilling e-book reader in hand and just enjoying the peace and quiet. 

If there's one thing you can't leave Nouveau without, it's enjoying a beautiful sunrise by the pool. You don't have to swim or anything. You can just sit by the poolside and watch the golden glow of the sun envelope the property. Regardless of whether or not you are a morning person, you must try this. It's an experience unlike any other. 

How to get there?

Nouveau Resort Camiguin is approximately 30 minutes away from the Camiguin Airport by car. Only Sunlight Air has direct flights from Manila to Camiguin. It flies twice a week to and from the island.  Alternatively, flights to Camiguin may be booked through Cebu Pacific Air with a connecting flight over Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
