(SPOT.ph) The Marvel Cinematic Universe has plenty of cool superheroes, like the Avengers, of course; awesome facilities and buildings like the Avengers headquarters, and incredible technology like Pym particles. It's easy to get lost in the films because it looks realistic, but it can be a little heartbreaking to walk out of the cinema to a world that looks pretty much the same, minus all the innovations and heroes. If you want to know what it's like to live in a Marvel film, Disney is bringing the experience closer to you: They're adding Marvel attractions to their Disney parks, which you can visit starting 2020.
At the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Disney announced the newest additions to their parks all over the world. If you have plans to live out your Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) dreams, here are attractions to keep an eye on.
The Avengers Campus complex will be home to several attractions set in the MCU. Here's your chance to suit up alongside your favorite characters and live out your dreams of going on adventures superhero-style. The complex will be at the Disney California Adventure Park in 2020, and later at Disneyland Paris.
The first ride to feature Spider-Man
It would be cool to have your own superpowers and this new ride from Disney, which can also be found in the Avengers Campus, will make you experience what it feels like to sling webs in order to help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots on the loose.
Pym Test Kitchen
Ant-Man can shrink or grow to any size he wants, but it's pretty dangerous to experiment on humans right away. You might not shrink yourself, but it's just as fun to see food be reduced to a small size or expand to the point that it's bigger than you! At the Pym Test Kitchen, you can use the latest innovations to play with the your food, or the size of it, at least. The Pym Test Kitchen is also inside the Avengers Campus.
The Avengers Headquarters
Imagine this: an overview of the Avengers Headquarters from your favorite MCU film, except it's real and right in front of your very eyes! Aside from looking exactly like the familiar building in the films, it will also serve as the entrance to a brand new E-ticket attraction where guests get to fly alongside the Avengers in an adventure to the land of Wakanda and beyond.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Epcot, or short for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow—coined by Walt Disney himself—at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will house a reverse-launch "storytelling coaster" that rotates 360 degrees! It packs the usual twists and turns with the added bonus of having the Guardians of the Galaxy along for the ride. There's no word yet when this will open, but it's something Marvel fans could look forward to!
And if that's not enough Marvel for you, you can fully immerse yourself in the fictional universe by staying at Disney's Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, in Disneyland Paris. The hotel will celebrate 80 years of Marvel art and artists, with more than 300 pieces on display. Rooms will include one-of-a-kind themed suites featuring your favorite heroes like Spider-Man. Guests can even meet the characters in a dedicated space. The Art of Marvel is set to open in 2020.
