Reminiscent of bamboo groves often found in Japan, St. Francis Xavier Seminary Bamboo Educational Demo Farm is fast becoming an Instagram-worthy destination for visitors in Baguio. It is naturally cool here even at noon when the chiaroscuro hits just right for your souvenir photos. Don’t worry if you’re not big on trekking, because the elevation is not steep and is manageable for almost every fitness level. Reward yourself at the end with cups of strawberry taho.

Baguio Bamboo Sanctuary is at St. Francis Xavier Seminary, Litteng Road, Pacdal.

Named after Baguio’s early moniker, Hill Station’s flagship restaurant is housed at Casa Vallejo, a wooden house constructed in the 1900s on Luneta Hill. It gives the most romantic dining experience in the evenings: a musician sits in front of the grand piano, a gentle breeze comes in, and the twinkling lights inside the restaurant are all lit up. Plus, the beautifully plated and exquisite-tasting courses just make it a night to remember. You can choose to have a couple’s massage at the North Haven Spa located in the basement of Casa Vallejo before your meal.

Hill Station is along Upper Session Road. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

There is a line of gazebos in the garden of La Casa Bianca that afford coziness and privacy. Many intimate celebrations are being hosted here, all thanks to the staff who personalize the decorations of your reserved gazebo—from rose petals to tea candles and letter cutouts that spell out your names. And music? They have that covered, too. It’s best to schedule a dinner here to cap off your special occasion, and head home not only with warm fuzzies but a bottle of their ube halaya.

La Casa Bianca is at 13 Leonard Wood Road. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
