Heads Up, Bibliophiles: The Philippines' Largest Book Festival Happens This June

(SPOT.ph) Bookworms and book aficionados, listen up. If you're looking for your next great read, then you better save your dough. On June 2 to 4, the National Book Development Board is holding the Philippine Book Festival at the World Trade Center Manila. This free festival is dubbed the largest traveling book fair in the country. So ready your wishlists and your wallets because this is going to be one for the books—pun intended!

Here's everything we know about the upcoming Philippine Book Festival this June:

Not to be confused with the Manila International Book Fair happening in September, the Philippine Book Festival is said to be "not just a book fair. It's a book experience." Happening from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.—except on the first day, when it'll only be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.— the free-entry festival will feature your usual booths and kiosks of booksellers featuring titles from some of the top Filipino publishers and distributors. But aside from these, you can also expect book signings, author meet-and-greets, workshops, literary discussions, and exhibits on all things biblio. 

Being a traveling exhibit and all, those from Visayas and Mindanao will also be glad to know that they won't miss out on the action. The Philippine Book Festival is also coming to SMX Davao on August 18 to 20. So Spotters outside of Luzon, best to keep these dates in mind as the Philippine Book Festival is coming to you too!
