LOOK: Shake Shack's First QC Branch Is Finally Here

(SPOT.ph) Heads up, Northies, Shake Shack is finally opening its doors to its first-ever North of Manila branch. Yup, just a few months after we first spotted the board up in SM North Edsa, Shake Shack is finally ready to bring down the curtain and open its doors to hungry burger fiends in Quezon City. We got first dibs on the food, the look, and the feels at the North's newest burger joint, and we're here to give you the lowdown on what to expect at Shake Shack SM North Edsa. It opens tomorrow, May 19!

Here's your first look at Shake Shack's SM North Edsa Branch:

Shake Shack at SM North Edsa is right by the Bridgeway heading to The Block from the City Center's second floor. Although the space isn't as big as their SM Mall of Asia branch, it is still a decently sized hub for their diner-style Angus beef burgers in the North. 

Unlike most Shake Shack branches, the SM North branch is decked out in tropical jungle decor. There are tons of greens, plants, and even flower murals all over the usually concrete and urban fast food chain. 

But Shake Shack being Shake Shack, it still, of course, sports its usual minimalist concrete designs for many of its busy areas like the counter, the food pick-up area, and the drinking water station.

Fans of Shake Shack's burgers and their oh-so-cheesy fries will be glad to know that all the usual menu items like burgers, chicken sandwiches, concretes, shakes—the works—will be available at this branch. Finally, no more trips down South just to sate our Cheese Fries plus Shack Burger hankerings.

But before you write off this branch as just any other Shake Shack outpost, be sure to try out their special branch exclusive concrete, a.k.a. a frozen custard, called the Berry Bituin (P270). This new sweet and tart new concrete is a playful take on Quezon City’s City of Stars moniker. In it is Shake Shack's frozen custard blended with strawberry sauce and Auro chocolate chunks, topped with freeze-dried strawberries! Strawberries and chocolate are always a welcome combination in our book, so you bet we went gaga for this icy treat, especially on a hot summer day. 

Aside from the Berry Bituin, the crowd-favorite limited-time only Apple Pie, Oh My! concrete (P270) is also available at SM North Edsa.

Yet another distinct feature of the first North branch is that it features limited-edition Shake Shack merch! Yup, you can now grab tumblers, totes, shirts, and stickers, all designed by Young Guns 19 awardee Raxenne Maniquiz. Fun fact: Maniquiz also designed the floral mural and accents all over the SM North branch. 

SPOT.ph found out from Shake Shack representatives that this SM North Edsa branch is just the first branch catering to the North—e.g., there's more. They teased that we should keep our eyes peeled for other shacks opening in our area soon. But while we wait on those new outposts, Shake Shack representatives also spilled the tea on new burgers and collaborations coming in the next few months. Sounds like there are a lot of things to look forward to when it comes to getting our burger fix!
