(SPOT.ph) With the FIBA World Cup taking place partly in our shores, players from international basketball teams have been seen going around the Metro—and dining out at local restaurants, like the rest of us mortals. The likes of Grant Hill, Simone Fontecchio, Jordan Clarkson, and more were spotted at BGC dining spots a mano, Hossein’s Persian Kebab, Wildflour, George and Onnie’s, and Gallery by Chele.

Known basketball players and other icons were spotted at these restaurants in BGC:
Chef Margarita Forés shared photos of Utah Jazz small forward Simone Fontecchio, Coach Gianmarco Pozzecco, and the rest of Team Italy visiting Italian spot a mano (owned by son Amado) on her public Instagram page.
“So loving that the Italian Basketball Team has been repeatedly enjoying [a mano] during the FIBA World Cup!,” she writes. “[The players] have visited on separate occasions and even mentioned that it’s like they're back home in Italy!”
Amado also shares how NBA All-Star Grant Hill, former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy, NBA coach Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat, NBA player and coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks and Team USA players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart recently dropped by their premises.
Persian kebab spot Hossein’s was similarly visited by an all-star cast—photos with which the restaurant shared with SPOT.ph. We’re talking the likes of Jordan Clarkson, Luol Deng, and Bobby Portis, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo (brother of MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks), who happily posed for pictures along with their staff.
Meanwhile, Erik Spoelstra and Miami HEAT Charitable Fund Vice President and Executive Director Steve Stowe dined at Wildflour's BGC branch, as its sibling spot, George and Onnie's (formerly Little Flour). Team USA assistant coach Chip Engelland, Grant Hill, and Team USA head coach Steve Kerr were similarly spotted at George and Onnie's.
Last but not the least, Josh Hart of the New York Knicks was spotted at Gallery by Chele.
The Philippines is hosting the FIBA Basketball World Cup, also called the FIBA World Cup, until September 10.
