Check out what's new at Din Tai Fung Uptown:
You might be thinking, isn't there a Din Tai Fung BGC already? Well, you're right. Din Tai Fung Uptown is the brand's second store in the Taguig area.
The 172-seater restaurant is decked out in a stunning jade hue exclusive to the new location. Gone are the usual reds, golds, and whites associated with the brand. There's minimal trace of those here. At DTF Uptown, jewel tones are king and marble tables and solihiya chairs are the members of the court.
What's new on the Din Tai Fung Uptown menu?
Sure, it looks-wise, they're new, but what about the food? Well, if you're looking for a new favorite to add to your usual DTF orders, you're in luck. Din Tai Fung Uptown features a wide array of new menu items that will first debut in the new store. Heads up, DTF Uptown diners: you can also enjoy new menu specials like the Oyster Misua Soup, Fried Pumpkin in Salted Egg, Szechuan Pepper Soft Shell Crab, and Spareribs in Chili Garlic.
True fans of the brand will recognize these new dishes as the once exclusive to DTF’s Private Dining Room menus. Well, now you can also have these premium dishes in the new branch. End your meal on a sweet note with desserts like Almond Pudding with Red Bean and a Taiwanese Ice Cream Crepe, also available in-store.
The new branch is located at Uptown Parade, meaning the new spot is smack in the middle of the area and caters to friends and families looking for a meal and party-goers reveling in the night. That being said, DTF Uptown is also the first branch to serve all-day specialty cocktails. Yup, we're getting three new dranks called Din, Tai, and Fung.
The Din cocktail consists of lemongrass tea and London dry gin, with a dash of syrup and basil that come together in a light and fragrant concoction.
Tai, on the other hand, is a sweet brew of gin-infused oolong, cherry liqueur, and soda, topped with rosemary for an earthy finish.
Finally, Fung is DTF’s take on the classic whisky sour, made with Suntory-infused pepper, mandarin orange, and lemon juice, then frothed up with egg foam.
Imagine: you can now pre-game at Din Tai Fung before partying the night away at nearby clubs and bars.
Din Tai Fung first arrived in the Philippines back in 2015. It was brought to our shores by the Moment Group, the same folks behind favorites such as Manam, 8Cuts Burgers, Mo' Cookies,Ooma, and more. Founded originally as a cooking oil shop in 1958 in Taiwan, Din Tai Fung is the world’s most widely recognized xiaolongbao brand. It has a total of 179 shops across 13 countries and numerous accolades under its belt, including a Michelin star for its maiden shop along Xinyi Road in Taipei.
Din Tai Fung Uptown is at G/F, Uptown Parade, 9th Avenue, Taguig City. For more information, visit Din Tai Fung's Facebook page.
