(SPOT.ph) Almost every culture has their own iteration of grilled food on a stick. In the Philippines we have Pinoy-style barbecue; in Japan, they've got yakitori a.k.a. grilled chicken. Here's where you can get your fix: Please, Senpai is an upcoming yakitori venture that's opening on October 23, and they'll be offering their grilled meat for delivery!
You can go for Yakitori Bowls that come with rice, an onsen egg, tempura flakes, furikake, nori, Japanese pickles, and tare sauce. Take your pick from the Chicken Yakitori Bowl (P320), Pork Yakitori Bowl (P350), Chicken & Pork Yakitori Bowl (P295), or Vegetable Yakitori Bowl (P295).
Prefer to share? Go for the Yakitori Trays that have just the yakitori sticks. There's the Chicken Yakitori Tray (P590/10 pieces, P1,250/20 pieces), Pork Yakitori Tray (P750/10 pieces, P1,450/20 pieces), and Chicken & Pork Yakitori Tray (P650/10 pieces, P1,290/20 pieces).
Please, Senpai hails from the Sunny Side Group, the same restaurant group that brought us the Sunny Side Café in Boracay and Spicebird in Boracay and Manila. You can preorder starting October 21 by giving them a call at 0917-703-0729, or messaging Off-Grid on Instagram.
Fancy sushi or sashimi instead, and can't head out? You can get your fix from a number of places in Manila—including Sensei and Izakaya Kikufuji.
