(SPOT.ph) The local music scene is brimming with new talents, with some of them having interesting beginnings. We have indie-folk band Ben&Ben, who's starring in a film and December Avenue, who rose to fame primarily through streaming. With so many emerging talents and bands, it feels like we don't have enough time to discover more Pinoy jams. Here's your chance to check out new local acts and music with Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino 2019, which runs for the entire month of July.
The month-long fest features open mic nights, busking sessions, performances in various bars and malls in and and out of the Metro, and even daily railway jams and live performances in different train stations. Check out the schedule and venues below.
Aside from artists like This Band and Gracenote, the fest's lineup features new and up-and-coming talents. Who knows, the next big music act might just get their start here!
This is organized by OPM - Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-Aawit in partnership with National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Light Rail Manila Corporation, Ikot MNL, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), Power Plant Mall, PhilPop, and other digital, bars and other production partners.
