(SPOT.ph) Nothing helps release the tension and fear from a horror film quite like a loud shriek. You're permitted to scream as often as you like when watching an eerie flick, but if the noise is what attracts the very monsters you fear, you might want to reconsider. 2018 post-apocalyptic horror film A Quiet Place had people holding back their screams for fear of making too much noise, and if you think you've escaped those sightless extraterrestrial creatures, guess again: The trailer for sequel A Quiet Place: Part II just dropped and it's bringing back the chills in silence.
The Abbott family narrowly survived the terrors of the first film, but this time around, they must venture into the world beyond their home as they continue to fight for their survival. Mother Evelyn (Emily Blunt) carries on with deaf daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and son Marcus (Noah Jupe), along with her newborn child. As they attempt to evade the creatures that hunt by sound, they encounter other survivors (Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou) and learn that the monsters they run from aren't the only dangers that may harm them.
There's no exact release date yet, but A Quiet Place: Part II is set to hit Philippine cinemas in March 2020. A Quiet Place director and screenwriter John Krasinski returns to direct, write, and co-produce the sequel alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller.Â
