It's Official: A Four Sisters and a Wedding Prequel Is in the Works
Ready to see the younger versions of the Salazar sisters?
(SPOT.ph) You might not admit to it, but there are funny Pinoy films that you can help but come back to. Chances are, you've watched them enough times to be able to memorize the lines and reenact your favorite scenes. The 2013 film Four Sisters and a Wedding is undoubtedly one of those movies, with its all-star cast, funny dialogue, and realistic portrayal of family with many siblings. It's been seven years since its release but there are countless memes and jokes still swirling around, proving its lasting effects on pop culture. If you're sorely missing the Salazar sisters, you'll be happy to know that a Four Sisters and a Wedding prequel is in the works.
While there's no official title yet, we'll take Star Cinema's caption as a hint that it will be called Four Sisters Before the Wedding. The film will be produced under Star Cinema's sub-brand, SCX, and will be directed by Giselle Andres, who served as assistant director in the original Four Sisters film, which starred Toni Gonzaga as Teddie, Bea Alonzo as Bobbie, Angel Locsin as Alex, and Shaina Magdayao as Gabbie.
The prequel will be set 10 year prior to the events in Four Sisters and a Wedding, and will feature younger actresses in the roles of the Salazar sisters. The funny Teddie will be played by Charlie Dizon, the responsible Bobbie will be played by Alexa Ilacad, the rebellious Alex will be played by Gillian Vicencio, and the youngest and caring Gabbie will be played by Belle Mariano. The original film had Enchong Dee play youngest sibling and only brother Rebreb. There's no news of who will play a younger version of him, but we're still looking forward to seeing Rebreb in the prequel!
