( In the rainforests of Central and South America lives the kinkajou, a.k.a. honey bear. These adorable little mammals are like a larger, way more proportionate tarsier—and if you're wondering why you're suddenly getting a random wildlife lesson, it's because Lin-Manuel Miranda voices one for the upcoming Netflix movie, Vivo! The streaming platform finally dropped the release date, so mark your calendars for August 6. To sweeten the deal, Netflix even dropped a sneak peek with one of Miranda's original songs for the movie.

This wholesome track is called "Keep the Beat." Raise your hands if you suddenly feel like today isn't going to be so bad! And yes, that golden monkey is indeed acclaimed Hamilton writer Lin-Manuel Miranda. Get you a guy that can do pretty much anything!

Here's what you should know about Netflix and Lin-Manuel Miranda's Vivo:

Alright so Miranda voices a musically gifted kinkajou named Vivo, who typically spends his days happily playing music at a Havana square with his owner Andrés (voiced by Buena Vista Social Club’s Juan de Marcos). When Andrés recieves a letter from his old partner and now famous musician Marta Sandoval (voiced by Latin pop legend Gloria Estefan) to reconnect in Miami, Florida, tragedy strikes and it is up to Vivo to carry his owner's reply: an old love letter that was never sent (in the form of a song, of course).

Vivo then makes it his mission to go to Marta, who practically lives worlds away, and ends up crossing paths with Gabi (voiced by newcomer Ynairaly Simo), a tween who bounces to the beat of her own offbeat drum. The mismatched duo must then cross through the Florida Everglades—where we see them sing their way through waters full of alligators.

The movie features all-new songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, who not only voices Vivo but is also credited as executive producer. It is directed by Oscar-nominee Kirk DeMicco. Plus, it is also from Sony Pictures Animation, a.k.a. the folks that gave us Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and The Mitchells vs. The Machines so you now the animation is going to be on-point. BRB, while we try to find a tarsier that can sing, too.
