Screen Lingua Franca, Gameboys + More Movies for as Low as P150 This Pride Month

(SPOT.ph) After celebrating last month's National Heritage Month with free screenings of classic Pinoy movies, the Film Development Council of the Philippines is celebrating Pride Month this June with screenings and events centered on LGBT movies taking place throughout the month.

The line-up consists of award-winning films from the Philippines and foreign countries, such as Lingua Franca from Isabel Sandovalthe boys' love film Gameboys: The Movie from Ivan Andrew Payawal, the Palme d'Or-nominated French film Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and the South Korean erotic thriller The Handmaiden from Park Chan-wook (yup, the Oldboy Park Chan-wook).

You can catch these films screening at Cinematheque Centres in Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Negros, and Nabunturan, as well as in Cinema '76 Anonas, along Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City. We compiled the list of notable screenings from these venues below.

Billie & Emma

You can rent the award-winning film Billie & Emma via the FDCP Channel website until June 26. You'll need to make an account in order to rent the film. The film costs P99 to rent. Once rented, you'll have access to your digital copy of the film for one week and once you've began watching, you'll only have 48 hours of access to rewatch or replay the film.
