(SPOT.ph) Like the culinary scene has comfort food, entertainment media can also have comfort watches that come in the form of re-binging a familiar series, putting on your favorite movie or playlist, or even tuning into lively streamers to fill up your downtime. Recently, we had our own Ratatouille comfort food moment—you know the one, where the cynical food critic is transported back to his childhood after tasting Remy's cooking—when we our scrolling through Netflix led us to happen upon the The Land Before Time titles that are scheduled to drop on the streaming platform.
Seeing just a mere image of the familiar gang of dinosaurs brought us back to our childhoods, when we were sobbing over Littlefoot's mother dying in the cold rain. And we're ready to experience it all again when movies from the animated film series drop on Netflix next week.

Here are the Land Before Time movies dropping on Netflix in August:
Searching for The Land Before Time on Netflix Philippines will show you that three movies from the animated film series will be dropping on Tuesday, August 16th. Namely, these titles are The Great Valley Adventure, Journey to Big Water, and The Great Longneck Migration.
Why Netflix isn't dropping all Land Before Time films, including the original film which was the only one to get a theatrical release, at once is beyond us. However, we're sure that the expanded library will eventually make its way onto the streaming platform. Case in point: four Barbie movies are dropping on the same day, with more movies from the Barbie library scheduled to arrive later on, at the start of September.
What we are getting from this first wave of Land Before Time movies is the second film, The Great Valley Adventure; the ninth film, Journey to Big Water; and the tenth film, The Great Longneck Migration.
The second film centers on the dino-gang rescuing a dinosaur egg from some egg-nappers, while also being the film that introduces the musical aspect to the series. Meanwhile, Journey to Big Water introduces us to some underwater dinosaurs due to a plot centered around the "new water" created by heavy downpours of rain. Lastly, The Great Longneck Migration may be the most tearjerker of the bunch, as it deals with Littlefoot meeting up with a migratory herd and deciding whether or not to leave the Great Valley.
The Land Before Time: The Great Valley Adventure, Journey to Big Water, and The Great Longneck Migration all drop on Netflix on August 16.
