(SPOT.ph) Nowadays, getting a hold of a beep card is as stressful as the commute. The shortage in beep card supply is real in rail transit stations—and online beep charms aren't exactly safe to use—so why not try your luck at the National Museum of the Philippines?
In partnership with beep, National Museum of the Philippines is offering exclusive beep cards to the public starting Friday, October 27. Each card design will feature one of the four buildings operated by the National Museum.
It will cost P400 to buy this beep card version, which is already inclusive of a P50 load balance, the National Museum Employees' Multi-Purpose Cooperative (NMEMPC) told SPOT.ph. That's 11 times more expensive compared to buying it at train stations at P30 only—that is, if they have supply of cards.
Only 250 cards per design will be available for this batch, so that's 1,000 beep cards from the National Museum for now.

Where to buy exclusive beep cards with National Museum design
Each card design is "inspired by the rich history of our country" as per beep.
It includes the National Museum of Natural History (with Lolong at the back) in green, National Museum of the Philippines - Cebu in blue, the National Museum of Anthropology in brown, and the National Museum of Fine Arts in red.
These exclusive beep cards will be available for purchase at their respective museums (i.e. to buy the Fine Arts design, head to the National Museum of Fine Arts). All designs except for NMP Cebu will be released on October 27. NMP Cebu beep cards are expected to hit the shelves starting October 31.
Regardless of the chosen design, the National Museum beep cards will function the same as a regular beep card.
