(SPOT.ph) Thousands of Filipinos evacuated from rising floodwaters as Tropical Storm Paeng (international name Nalgae) moved closer to the  eastern and southern Philippines going into the long weekend for All Saints' Day.
Paeng, the 16th storm to enter the country this year, is forecast to dump heavy rains and make multiple landfalls over the long weekend, PAGASA said.

While Paeng has yet to hit land, its impact is now being felt in parts of Mindanao, with at least 31 people reported dead in Maguindanao due to flooding and landslide, according to a GMA News report.
Several organizations have opened up relief and donation drives for the victims of Paeng. Here are some of them:
GCash
You can send your donations to Paeng victims via GCash through the Pay Bills features or by scanning the GCashGivesBack QR Code. Donations will be sent to GCash's NGO partners to provide aid to those affected by the storm.
UP Mindanao University Student Council
The UP Mindanao University Student Council is accepting donations in cash and in kind for Paeng victims. Donations can also be dropped off at certain areas in the university.
PICE - Cotabato State University Student Chapter
Civil engineering students of the Cotabato State University have also opened a donation drive for Paeng victims. Monetary donations can be transferred through GCash and other banks.
Cotabato City Youth Officials
Water, food, old clothes, and cash assistance can be donated through youth leaders from Cotabato City.
