(SPOT.ph) Samsung unveiled their latest flagship smartphones, and yes, they're as foldable as ever. They dropped the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 during the biannual Samsung Unpacked event on August 10, PH time. It's been a bit of a hot minute, er, year, since the brand released the previous iteration of their foldables in 2021 so there are quite a few upgrades to look forward to in this year's models. Let's take a closer look at what the South Korean tech giant has in store. Note that prices are based on pre-orders on the Samsung site.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4
The Galaxy Z Fold4 is the fourth version of the brand's flagship foldable. Initially released in 2019, the Galaxy Z Fold4 now comes with a cover screen measuring 6.2-inches, HD+ at 2316 x 904 pixels, with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display and a main screen measuring 7.6-inches, QXGA+, with 2176 x 1812 pixels, with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display. Like it's predecessor, the phone allows users to split their screen into two, making it a productivity powerhouse, especially when the S-Pen is used. And in case it isn't obvious, the bezel has indeed become smaller giving us more real estate to work with.
The phone's camera also got an upgrade. Compared to the 2021 version, which only had 2x telephoto, the Galaxy Z Fold4 has a 50MP main camera, 12MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultrawide camera. Now that's something you can use for your curated feed.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4
Popularized by global pop sensation BTS, the Galaxy Z Flip series has become one of the best foldables of 2021. The latest model, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, has little to no cosmetic changes but has a ton of upgrades with its interior. And while we're o the subject of cosmetics, the phone is available in four standards colors, Bora Purple included.
Look a little deeper though, and you'll see the technical improvements. For one, it now has a 3,700mAh battery—the same as that of the S22—compared to the previous model's 3,300mAh. It will also run on a more efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which would give us more efficient battery life, enough to stream your favorite K-pop music videos onlne.
If you're wondering about the camera of the latest model, well, don't be too disappointed that it still has the same specs as that of the 2021 version: a 12MP main camera with a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera. Keep in mind that since it's running on a sexier and smoother processor, you can expect changes in camera and capabilities through software upgrades.
