Cyclists, You Can Park Your Bikes for Free at This Spot in Makati

(SPOT.ph) Pedaling through the pandemic, bicycles have become the go-to mode of transportation because it's one of the most cost-efficient options to get from point A to point B. But there's always the problem of lack of bike racks or, at least, a proper place where they can store their wheels. Luckily, for those biking in or to Makati City, Ayala Triangle Gardens has a newly installed bike rack that's free for anyone to use.

In a Facebook post by Manila Commuter, they shared photos of the new bike racks at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Coming from Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue, both entrances to the park are where the new bike racks can be found.

Justin of Manila Commuter says that the new bike racks are called Inverted U or Sheffield Racks, which "fits more sized bikes and is the standard best practice [for bike] racks." He explains that these bike racks, if sized and spaced correctly, can probably fit 95% of the bikes (750mm height and 750mm+/- width) used by cyclists. This means that it's a pretty inclusive bike rack as it can fit foldable bikes and full-sized suspension bikes.

These bike racks are free to use, so best of luck at securing a slot for your wheels. Just remember to always bring a heavy-duty lock, so as to prevent anyone from pedaling away using your bike.
