What is LoungeKey?
LoungeKey is a global airport lounge access program that provides travelers access to over 1,000 airport lounges across 400 airports worldwide. Through their partnership with airport lounges, passengers get different airport perks right before boarding the plane, e.g., access to the lounge itself and, in some cases, discounts in airport restaurants and shops.
Who are eligible for LoungeKey?
Travelers or passengers must be enrolled in a participating credit card program offering LoungeKey access as a cardholder's benefit. The extent of access to the airport lounge may vary depending on the bank: Some banks can offer the LoungKey as a complimentary benefit, while others require payment.

Which credit cards have LoungeKey access?
BDO: BDO Elite Mastercard Platinum and Titanium cardholders get a complimentary LoungeKey membership with a USD 27 fee per visit, per person, to be automatically charged to the card.
Chinabank: China Bank World Mastercard and Mastercard Airport Experiences are eligible China Bank credit cards that have LoungeKey benefits. According to China Bank, lounge visits cost U.S. $32 per person per visit and will be directly charged to the China Bank credit card.
Citibank: As for Citi credit cards, Citi Premier Miles Signature Visa cardholders have LoungeKey as one of their travel benefits. The cardholders and supplementary cardholders are charged U.S. $32 per person, per visit and will be directly charged to the credit card.
Security Bank: Security Bank Platinum Mastercard cardholders get LoungeKey benefits with the addition of two complimentary lounge access annually, which can be shared with the cardholder's companion. Before going to the lounge, the cardholders need to register the card via the Security Bank website.
RCBC: RCBC JCB Platinum Credit Card cardholders can use the LoungeKey service at JCB-selected lounges. According to the RCBC website, JCB Platinum and Gold cardholders can enjoy access to airport lounges in Japan and Hawaii for up to six times, valid until March 31, 2024.
What are the benefits of LoungeKey?
The benefit of having LoungeKey is that it gives airport lounge access. Most, if not all, airport lounges have buffets and free-flowing drinks, Wi-Fi and charging stations, television, restrooms and shower rooms, and a designated place for storing luggage. In airports in the West, such as Los Angeles International Airport, the LoungeKey can be used to access spas and gaming lounges.
The specific benefits will mainly depend on the airport lounge you plan to access with your LoungeKey benefit. These perks are useful if you arrive at the airport too early and have time to spare or, in the worst-case scenario, your flight is delayed by hours, and you have more time to kill.
Which airport lounges can you access with LoungeKey?
In the Philippines, LoungeKey is partnered with different lounges from Cebu-Mactan International Airport, Clark International Airport, Davao Francisco Bangoy International Airport, and Puerto Princesa International Airport. According to the LoungeKey website, lounges like the famous Marhaba Lounge and PAGSS are accessible with LoungeKey.
As for international airports, LoungeKey can be used at Singapore Changi Airport's Changi Lounge, Tokyo Narita International Airport's I.A.S.S. Executive and Superior Lounges, and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport's The Coral Executive Lounge, among many others. How do you use the Loungekey?
As opposed to a Priority Pass, which has a physical card, passengers only need to show their LoungeKey-approved credit cards at the airport lounge. Have your passport, boarding pass, and government ID with you.
UPDATE (January 4, 2024, 2:30 p.m.): This article has been updated to clarify the lounge benefit for BDO Platinum and Titanium Mastercard. As of August 2022, BDO's lounge benefit is through complimentary membership under Priority Pass (not anymore LoungeKey) with a usage fee of U.S. $32 per person.
