(SPOT.ph) Siargao is back. After years of quarantine and a blow from Typhoon Odette, the island is catching the waves once more. Whether it's been a while since you've walked its shores or if you're just about to, we're here to tell you that there's a new way to get there faster: Sunlight Air now flies direct to Siargao. The maiden flight landed on Monday, October 31, to the island's clear blue skies.
Sunlight Air launches direct flights to Siargao
The airline flies from Sunlight Air's own terminal near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Siargao's Sayak Airport twice weekly; that's every Monday and Friday. Flights are typically scheduled to depart Manila at 7:05 a.m. and arrive in Siargao at 9:35 a.m. It then leaves the island at 10:30 a.m. The flight takes around two hours and a half. Note that airfare is inclusive of 10 kilograms checked baggage and carry-on of seven kilograms.
