Skip the Spaghetti and Pancit: You Can Hire Mendokoro and Yushoken for Your Birthday Party

(SPOT.ph) One dish that is always present in any birthday celebration is spaghetti or pancit, so why not make it more interesting and even more memorable by serving bowls of ramen? You still get the noodles for your "long life" intentions—but this time, with the soulful broth, tamago, and chashu that tonkotsu ramen is known for. Well, consider this your birthday wish come true, ramen fans: you can actually book a Mendokoro and Yushoken food truck to serve their signature bowls at your party.

Here's how you can book the Mendokoro and Yushoken food truck for your private events:

Brought to us by The Food Truck Private Events leg of Mendokoro and Yushoken’s mother company Nippon Hasha Inc., these food trucks let you bring in the famous noods of Yushoken and Mendokoro Ramenba—which just happen to be some of the best in the city, straight to your doorstep. If you've seen any of their ramen trucks popping up in selected cities in the past few months, you can get the same experience with the advantage that it exclusively serves your private event and no one else.

Of course, we all have our Mendokoro and Yushoken go-to's—and these food trucks will happily serve up their signatures: Shoyu, Shio, and Tantanmen. Plus, you can pair them with side dishes like gyoza (this is quintessential!), aji tamago, and drinks. They've got customizable food packages that include these dishes, and you can choose from depending on what you want to serve your guests.

The Food Truck can cater to a minimum of 50 people but if you have a long guest list, the other packages they offer can cater to 75 or 100 guests. They service those within a 10-kilometer radius of their Libis, Quezon City-based commissary, but if you're not within that radius, an additional fee is charged for every succeeding five kilometers.

Yushoken is a ramen joint in Alabang that opened in 2012, and fast became known for their ramen with house-made noodles and rich broth. Mendokoro Ramenba, on the other hand, opened in 2014—as ramen-focused Makati joint which is known to command long lines. Both restaurants have consistently made it to many best-ramen lists—Yushoken finished first in our Top 10 Shoyu Ramen in Manila list for 2019, while Mendokoro got the top spot in our 2017 list of the Top 10 Miso Ramen in Manila.
